New Year's Eve

Dec. 31st - Jan. 1st

Happy New Year!

You've counted down the minutes, you've watched the ball drop, you've toasted the health of all your friends and family...now what?

Like most people, you've probably made a list of resolutions that you are confident and determined to stick to this year so your next course of action will probably be to start making good on your promise to follow them.

-

You want to go to the gym more...but it takes so long to get there and that donut just looks so good.

You want to put more into saving...but that blue purse would look so good with your favorite pair of jeans.

You will call your parents every Sunday...but the game is on and if you don't watch your team could lose.

You will travel more...but it's so much easier to travel via your coach and remote and here you have snacks.

-

So maybe it's harder to stick to your goals than you thought and you may waffled on a few or all of them but don't worry, that's the thing about resolutions. They're tough and hard to keep up with (especially if you're trying to break an old habit) but most of the time resolutions are good things that will have long term benefits if you can stick to them. That's why you wanted to start them in the first place.
So don't give up on those goals even after you slip up. In fact, your ability to start again after failing defines just how important those changes are and how committed you are to actually improving your life.

So why not commit to being intentionally Pro-Life this coming year? Or (if you've been Pro-Life for a while) recommit to the work?

It's not going to be easy, especially with the Pro-Life/Death debate heating up all over the country but, as mentioned above, your willingness to commit to something hard and keep at it really will improve your life and, in this case, the lives of those around you and those of the millions of children who might not see tomorrow.
This resolution is a thousand times more important than going to the gym, or saving money, or even calling your own parents because, unlike the others, this resolution has barring on the future of our world. If we don't commit to saving children this year they won't be around to improve the world next year. They will never get the chance to fix the mistakes we've made. They won't get the change to make their own resolutions. Our world will continue its slide into selfishness.

If we don't care enough to save children now when will we? When it's already too late?
