Pure Joy, Moments After Roe Was Reversed |
June 24th
For nearly 50 years the American Pro-Life movement has been working against the rapidly advancing abortion and Pro-Choice cabal. Our work first began in 1973 when Roe v. Wade was first codified into law and since that time we have not rested in our fight to save lives and reverse the unconstitutional ruling. We have experienced great joys in our fight, powerful voices have lead us, and we have won many great victories along the way. The greatest of which (to date) occurred on June 24th 2022, when Roe v. Wade was overturned.
While we mourn the loss of the some 63 million lives that were taken by abortion while Roe was in place we can celebrate that no more lives will be lost under it and the Pro-Life movement now has the opportunity to provide better care and support for mothers and babies than abortion ever did.

In a way, June 24th can now be remembered as Unborn Independence Day because America's children are now liberated from the law that could kill them and have a chance at life. Join me in celebrating this new holiday this and for many years to come.

I was at work when I heard that Roe v. Wade had been over turned on June 24th and for a moment I couldn't believe my ears. The long awaited liberation of the unborn had finally come but that didn't mean the fight was over. What where the next steps for the Pro-Life movement? What were my next steps? A million ideas bounced around in my mind but then it occurred to me that the thing to do at that moment was celebrate...and this song came to mind.
Written and preformed for the 1998 animated movie The Prince of Egypt this song is the Israelites celebration as they walk out of Egypt and into a bright free future and it struck me that this song was perfect for June 24th and the Pro-Life movement.
For years Pro-Lifers prayed (sometimes in desperate silence) for an end to an unjust act, at times it seemed like an answer would ever come, but through faith and hope in a mighty God our miracle finally happened and we can now sing praises to God for his works. Millions of children now have the chance to live (and sing along with us) and the Pro-Life movement can now use this song as a victory cry after our hard fought battle.
I listened to There Can Be Miracles half a dozen times that day and I fully intend to listen again on every June 24th from now on.
The preborn are free and they now have a future, praise the Lord!
